Designed to support Venere models 3.0, 2.5, 2.0, 1.5 and Center for the realization of an complete Venere home theatre film sound or multichannel music system, Distinguished by a design style that will blend with the other speakers in the Venere range, Wall fits easily into diverse environments while delivering superb performance from the entire system.

Employing a symmetrically angled shape that ensures no internal parallel surfaces exist, the enclosure is characterized by its lack of parallel surfaces that eliminates any detrimental internal resonances. The 1″ fabric dome tweeter was designed by Sonus faber and delivers an exceptional wide dispersion of sound, while providing natural timbre and very detailed sound without creating listener fatigue. The front baffle of Wall secures 2 active 6″ mid-woofers with Curv™ cones. The baffle is set apart by its curved form which produce a decidedly lively sound with perfectly coherent integration between the driver and the cabinet. The enclosure is also characterized by its angled sides and included wall mount bracket- a design solution that allows for flexible wall placement in the home theater or multi-room environment.

The Wall is immediately identified as a member of the Venere range thanks to its complimentary shape and black or white lacquer finish that perfectly matches the other Venere models. A real wood Walnut finish is available at a slight upcharge.

Venere by Sonus faber

Technology

The Venere series combines Sonus faber’s more than thirty years of speaker design with state-of-the-art computer modeling and critical listening sessions. The loudspeaker’s enclosure incorporates precision CNC machined pieces that are assembled, and refined manually. Finally, but no less important, are the internal components. All of the drive units are custom-built by the finest international manufacturers for Sonus faber. The crossovers for the Venere series have been designed using component parts of the highest quality – even the speaker terminals are engineered to provide a secure connection to your speaker cable and guarantee the highest quality signal transfer! This careful selection of materials and strict quality control during production ensures the sound quality, cosmetic appearance and durability of the speaker.

Design

The construction of the acoustic chamber is of great importance to the tonal balance of a loudspeaker. Sonus faber has always been a leader in the development of cabinet shapes and proportions that guarantee exceptional control of internal resonances, driver stability and create an ideal acoustic environment. It was a natural choice that the Venere series to be inspired by the shape of the Lyre. Applied to the form of a speaker, it ensures the absence of parallel internal surfaces, controls air movement inside the cabinet that creates sound that is dynamic, clean, rich in musical detail yet at the same time, highly natural in tone. The successful realization of our sonic requirements and the balance of form and function drove Venere’s overall design aesthetic.

The crossover and the driver

Sonus faber is confident that in the end, the best assessment of our design choices is listening with the human ear. This has always been a key principle that has driven the design of our products since the founding of the company. In the research phase, each component is conceived and designed with these criteria in mind. The world’s best driver manufacturers craft all Venere drive units to Sonus faber’s specific requirements and additional optimizations are carried out during the manufacturing phase providing further enhancements prior to final assembly. Extreme care is taken in the design of the crossover network in an effort to meet our high standards since choices regarding the type of network and component parts combined with the drivers, are fundamental to the sonic performance of the speaker. So while the Venere series is designed using specialized computer software, in the final phase of their development, everything is perfected and reviewed by ear, because the ultimate goal of Sonus faber is to deliver the satisfaction and emotion of music listening.
